Practice Focus
Real Estate and Land Use Practice (Chair)
Mr. Leeth is a 1982 graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor or Arts degree in Political Science and a 1988 graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law. Mr. Leeth concentrates his practice on real estate matters including sale and purchase contracts, ground lease and building leases. In addition, Mr. Leeth practices in the land use and zoning area with appearances before all bodies and agencies of city, town and county governments throughout Northwest Indiana, most frequently Plan Commissions and Boards of Zoning Appeals.
Mr. Leeth chairs the Real Estate and Land Use Segment within the firm. He utilizes a team approach to manage client engagements with the active participation of associate attorneys and paralegal support where appropriate, and also with outside professional engineers, architects and other consultants.
After graduation from Indiana University and prior to law school, Mr. Leeth was a campaign coordinator for the Indiana Republican State Committee.
Mr. Leeth is a member of the Porter County, Indiana State and American Bar Associations as well as the Indiana Municipal Lawyers Association. Currently, Mr. Leeth is the Secretary-Treasurer of the Land Use Section of the Indiana State Bar Association.
Mr. Leeth participates and frequently serves on several boards and committees including the United Way of Porter County, the Porter County Builders Association, and the First Tee of Valparaiso. He is a frequent speaker at seminars and training sessions for clients and groups on issues relating to real estate law and zoning procedures.
Mr. Leeth resides in Valparaiso with his wife, Cheryl and son Tyler, a student at Valparaiso High School. Another son, Andrew, is a student at Indiana University. He enjoys golf and during the midwest winters, watching college basketball and Tyler swim on the Valparaiso High School Swim Team.
